To ensure its organic status, GOTS follows the cotton on every step of its journey.

The standard covers everything - processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trading and distribution.

It's all about, as they put it, providing 'a credible assurance to the end consumer'.

To obtain the GOTS organic label, a product must:
• Contain at least 95% organic fibre
• Not be treated with bleach, formaldehyde or any other toxic substances
• Use non-toxic dyes
• Be produced in a mill that treats both their employees and the earth with deep respect
• Use packaging materials that are recycled, or certified accordingly

So when you see our products have that GOTS certification, you can be assured the organic cotton we use has been grown, harvested and transformed into clothing with environmentally and socially responsible values at its heart.
