Between the brief that holds everything in place and the boxer that leaves everything free, the trunk has a territory of its own. Close-fitting enough to stay in place, flexible enough never to squeeze. That's exactly what we were looking for when we designed our classic organic cotton trunks: a short cut that follows your movements without you thinking about it, in GOTS-certified organic cotton made entirely in Europe. Sixteen plain colours available, individually or in packs of 3, 4, 6 or 8.
Why trunks rather than another cut?
The trunk cut is all about balance. Mid-rise, neither too high nor too low. A short leg that covers without smothering. Enough elastane to follow your shape without slackening over time. The elastic waistband, made with 60% cotton in Austria, is soft and leaves no marks at the end of the day. The inside label is cotton, sewn so it never itches. It's the underwear you forget once it's on. And that's exactly what we ask of it.
Trunks made entirely in Europe
Before talking about material, let's talk about manufacturing. Because one doesn't go without the other. Our organic cotton trunks are made entirely in Europe, which doesn't mean "assembled in Europe from components that came from elsewhere". Every element is produced on the continent:
- Portugal: spinning, dyeing, cutting and making of the fabric, in a factory powered 100% by solar electricity produced on site.
- Austria: elastic waistbands, in a country where renewable energy accounts for more than 80% of the energy mix.
- Italy: cotton labels.
Only the organic cotton comes from elsewhere, since it doesn't grow in Europe [QED]. We source it from Turkey or India, from GOTS-certified producers. Complete traceability, from seed to drawer.
GOTS-certified organic cotton: what it really changes
Our classic trunks are made of 95% GOTS-certified organic cotton and 5% elastane. The GOTS certification covers every stage of production, from growing the cotton to making the garment. What it guarantees in practice:
- No pesticides or chemical fertilisers in growing.
- No PFAS, no formaldehyde, no toxic dyes in processing.
- Top-quality extra-long fibres, for a soft feel you recognise immediately.
- A breathable fabric that lets air circulate naturally, comfortable in every season.
- And real durability: worn and washed dozens of times, the trunk keeps its shape and stretch.
That's the principle of underwear designed to last, not to be replaced in six months.
Sixteen plain colours, one logic
Sixteen colours available, all in understated tones inspired by nature and the sea. No garish shades, no gimmicky colours: blues, greens, greys, white, black, a few warmer touches. Colours designed to go well together and stay relevant for several years. Our collections don't follow the seasons and are never on sale. We choose colours we'll still be wearing in five years.
Packs of 3, 4, 6 or 8 trunks let you build your drawer in one go, with a discount at each level. Packs already put together by us to save time, customisable trunk packs to choose each colour yourself from the sixteen available.
It all depends on what you're looking for. Briefs offer more support and a cleaner line under fitted clothes. Classic trunks sit in between: more fabric than briefs, less than boxers or boxer briefs, a short leg that covers the thigh without coming down too far. It's the most versatile cut in the drawer, the one that suits most body types and uses. For those who don't yet know which cut suits them best, trunks are often the best starting point.
Yes, and that's precisely one of the advantages of GOTS-certified organic cotton. The certification guarantees the absence of irritating substances at every stage of production: no PFAS, no formaldehyde, no harsh dyes. The extra-long fibres of organic cotton are naturally softer than those of conventional cotton. The waistband doesn't leave marks, the label doesn't itch. For reactive skin looking for hypoallergenic trunks to wear with complete confidence all day, it's the most direct answer there is.
