There are those who wear plain underwear all their lives and are perfectly happy with it. And then there are those who've decided that a bit of character, even in the drawer, is a perfectly reasonable idea. Our nautical organic cotton briefs are for the second group. Classic stripes, coloured trims, confident nautical touches: the same standards as our classic briefs for material and manufacturing, but with an extra visual soul that changes the start of the morning.
GOTS-certified organic cotton, still at the heart of our range
No need to reinvent what works. Our striped briefs share exactly the same composition as our classic briefs: 95% GOTS-certified organic cotton and 5% elastane.
The GOTS certification covers every stage of production, from growing the cotton to making the garment, with environmental and social criteria checked by independent bodies. The result: an organic cotton brief with no PFAS, no formaldehyde and no toxic dyes. Soft thanks to its extra-long fibres, breathable, hypoallergenic, and strong enough to handle dozens of washes without losing its shape or its colours.
The elastic waistband, made with 60% cotton in Austria, doesn't leave marks. The inside label is cotton, sewn so it never itches. And as with the whole range, fabric and garment are made in Portugal, in a factory powered 100% by solar electricity produced on site.
Stripes, trims and buttons: nautical style in the detail
The only thing that sets our striped briefs apart from the classics is the look. And that's where the care put into the design really counts. The range comes in several types of styles:
- Classic stripes: horizontal bands playing on white/blue/pink/grey/red contrasts. The Breton stripe in all its simplicity.
- Coloured trims: mostly plain styles with a contrasting panel around the thigh. A discreet graphic touch, but enough to move away from all-plain without overdoing it.
- Decorative details: some styles feature two buttons on the front, purely decorative, a nod to the look of sailors' clothing. A little wink that does no harm.
White briefs with coloured stripes, blue briefs with white stripes, combinations of navy blue and grey, white and red, pink and white. Colours that hold together, designed to last and to go well together if you want to mix styles.
In packs, for variety
The wide choice of colours makes our nautical briefs ideal candidates for packs: x3, x4, x6 or x8, with a discount at each level.
- Ready-made brief packs offer colour combinations designed to go well together.
- Customisable brief packs let you choose each style yourself from the whole range. Enough to mix stripes and trims as you like, without getting it wrong.
Briefs made entirely in Europe
As with all our products, "briefs made in Europe" doesn't mean "assembled in Europe with components that came from elsewhere". Fabric and making in Portugal, elastic waistband in Austria, cotton labels in Italy. Every component is made and then assembled in Europe, in factories running on renewable energy. Only the organic cotton comes from elsewhere, since it doesn't grow in Europe. We source it from Turkey or India, from GOTS-certified producers.
Absolutely nothing in terms of composition or manufacturing: 95% GOTS-certified organic cotton, 5% elastane, made in Portugal with solar power. The difference is purely visual. Classic briefs rely on plain, understated colours. Nautical briefs play the card of stripes, coloured trims and nautical details. Same comfort, same durability, same commitment. Just a question of what you prefer to see in your drawer in the morning, and your mood of the day.
Yes, for the same reasons as the whole range. The GOTS certification guarantees the complete absence of irritating substances, including in the dyes used for the stripes and contrasting colours. No PFAS, no formaldehyde, no harsh chemicals. Organic cotton, with its extra-long fibres, stays soft against the skin however complex the printed pattern. After all, there's no reason a striped organic cotton brief should be any less comfortable than a plain one, is there?
