SEAQUAL INITIATIVE is a global organisation committed to tackling the plastic pollution that threatens our oceans.
Some 12 million tons of that plastic waste end up in the sea every year. Most of the waste involves stuff like food containers, packaging, and plastic bags. It can clog up coastal areas and kills marine life.
SEAQUAL works with environmental groups large and small across the globe. They help coordinate ocean and beach clean-ups.
They then collaborate with the recycling industry to create new products. The Spanish facility transforms marine plastic waste into high-grade yarns that are sent on to our fabric supplier in Portugal.
Our swim shorts collection is a direct result of the work we do with SEAQUAL. These shorts are created using 100% recycled polyester. Absolutely everything – even the mesh lining – is made from SEAQUAL fibres.
